ryan's plan for medicare would force seniors to pay $6400 more a year to make up for cuts in the program. this is an old democratic attack line. it's been around for a look at the bottom is it's based on an earlier version of ryan's plan. another thing i've given two pinocchios. people should always be wary of dire predictions far off any future. the city $400 figure refers to an analysis of the cbo as that of a different less generous ryan plan. goes all the way to year 2022, the cbo made no estimates of the new version except to say that beneficiaries might face higher costs. the new ryan plan was changed in other ways that would change the option of traditional medicare. he decide to set the future growth rate to medicare to the same metric used by obama and his method so there wouldn't be a difference. and the study published recently by the journal of american medical association suggests the out of pocket payment for additional medicare would be only $800 more a year under the ryan plan. that's odyssey significantly lower than the $6400. strangely president obama was

for some support. ron white came to me before he came to vice-presidential romani -- nominee ryan. i was involved on issues dealing with terrorism so i could work on that one. if you look at my record i probably have as many pieces of legislation as bipartisan as any member of congress and the idea of no budget no pay. how about the budget no job? i voted for a budget. i have worked -- i put my budget on the line. i don't know if you are arguing dianne feinstein should not have a job this year. your campaigning against her because she hasn't voted for a budget in the last 2,000 days. let's look at the record. >> moderator: did you vote for the budget in the democratic rain? lungren: i voted for the alternative. >> moderator: back to the journalist question for dan lungren. >> back to health care more specifically the affordable care act. california and a lot of other states moving forward with many physicians including the health benefit exchange and the online insurance market place. how should the government handles states like california who are moving in this direction and gettin

think he would have to retool to be sure but i think daniels, ryan, different ways, i think the bigger question is, is there something come is there a candidate to advance his agenda pushed analysis if romney loses. it's not guaranteed romney will lose. obama after three great weeks is at 50 so it's not like he is at 54 with a big margin of error. that if romney doesn't lose, i think the big question will be is there someone who kind of challenges the party on issues, particularly with immigration and maybe a little bit on social issues. >> i think, i actually think that someone who explicitly makes the case would be worse -- look at a bob mcdonnell in virginia. he is someone who clearly was socially conservative, telegraph that very clear to his voters and the thought of him as reliable, and so he was able to go after suburban voters and what have you. but because you thought of him as reliable and say, he was able to frame things effectively. i think that's a better model. compare a huntsman to george w. bush. >> and marco rubio. i can imagine jeb bush is being the intellectual leade
